The Elizabeth M. Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities invites applicants for two full-time faculty positions. The Boggs Center is New Jersey's federally designated University Affiliated Program in Developmental Disabilities. The Center promotes the full membership and contribution of children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in all aspects of community life. The Center fulfills this mission through active collaboration with New Jersey's disability community as well as participation in the academic programs of UMDNJ and other institutions of higher education.
One position directs and develops training programs in integrated employment and may also develop projects in one or more of the Center's focus areas of Education, Employment, Community Supports, and Health. The second position will direct and develop programs in one or more of the Center's focus areas.
Depending on qualifications and experience, one of the positions will devote approximately half time to coordinating the Center's interdisciplinary preservice preparation program and working with institutions of higher education to stimulate personnel preparation in developmental disabilities.
Requirements include: a terminal degree in an education, health, human service or other related field (doctorate strongly preferred); senior level experience in developmental disabilities programs; and demonstrated ability to acquire external funding and develop successful programs.
